Sewing A T-Shirt With A Perfect Neck Band!
(Linda). Hi Susan, I love your YT Channel, so so so informative. I have a question for you; I want to buy this mannequin - used and I was wondering if it's worth it and how if you can tell me how i could fix the more worn out areas of it. Do you have an email, I took a screenshot and cannot paste, unless you know of another way to put it here?....just tried something else and it does not work. so the bust area seems to have lost some foam and shoulder area. What do you recommend i buy to try out to fix it?
The background music is so loud, I cannot hear what you are saying. I would ditch the music next time if you are talking.
@@spavbio yes, I’m sorry I’ll be more aware of that next time. You can see the steps I do hoping that helps.
Thank you! I got this serger 2nd hand and was able to thread it by following your instructions. I appreciate the close camera views
Excellent!
I really found this helpful. Thank you so much! Just a suggestion - for your background in your videos, you might think about using colours that are better for your skin tone (maybe a jewel tone?). You are blending into the browns behind you.
I am looking forward to joining your draping classes this coming week.
@@ChristineSalhany eliascouture.com/store Here is the Link to my store to buy the second day
Hello how does one become a member of your RUclips channel and pay for classes?
So excited to see you there
Big improvement and a acceptable fix in a pinch however now the fabric from the other side bunches in a wired way towards that side. Honestly, better to return it. If that's absolutely not an option than in the long run I would seam ripping and try taking it in from the sides, however with lined dresses it's a lota work.
Wouldn't a dart be easier?
@@sheanaguthrie6021 No, a dart in that location is not proper. Either you take it apart st the seamline reduce the lining and ease the top layer or you do this quick change
As a light olive, I must say this is the most helpful video on olive skin colors! Thank you so much. It makes so much sense and the visual examples make it very clear. I knew not to lean too much to the warm or cool shades, but you explained so well why yellow/green/peach/beige shades don't work either.
So glad this helped
Very helpful information! I have struggled with an organized way to store my patterns. I am particularly excited about the Pattern Record Chart. I think that will help me remake designs I haven't made in a while. Thank you for sharing this insight!
@@LizJensen-m5x I'm so glad it helped you can get the pattern record card on my website
How would you pattern and sew a gigantic bow with the tails dragging on the floor like the robert best illustration blue barbie dress one?
I don’t know your reference, but just take that pattern and extend it as long as you want keeping the width the same. Good luck.
Hm po, lm looking & I want to buy for my own used
would love to see how this looks in a finished garment
@@4kassis stay tuned because eventually, you will see it in a finished suit I'm designing.
Your tutorials are always amazing. Thank you so much. 😊

This is the video I needed! Thank you! I need to bring it in or grade the size 2 to a size 0 and reduce the cup size to an A. I do not own a dress form yet so thank you for trying it on! I'm going to show my mom this video so she can pin it on me :)
You absolutely grate teacher!! Thank you❤
@@user-fs5pp5wi9h thank you
Hey😊 so i have very tan olive skin with brown hair and amber/Green/hazel eyes and i found that harsh vibrant colours and pastLs dont suit me and only colours like brown and dark green and dark red and cream beige suit me so yeah. What colours should i wear because other colours dont suit me but my whole closet is full of them
Why the music? It’s a distraction and unnecessary.
I have olive tone skin but not sure what I’m undertone is. I think I look good in royal blues and plum colors….i know I definitely do not look good in pastels or army green. Good video!
Very cool. I some how missed where the buckrum was used.
eliascouture.com/pattern-instructions here is the link to my website pattern instructions it shows each layer as you put it together and the pattern is also on my website. Thank you for your comment. I hope you make yours.
The buckram are pieces 6,7, and 11
@@susaneliascouture thank you.
@@susaneliascouture I have 3 things distracting me from sewing. Space, I'm still working on that. I have so much stuff too organize. Beads and all. I came up with an idea last night that would work for sIace. I want to make enough for a dress form. The garden has my attention for sure. Thank goodness most of the garden is within 64ft. X 36ft. I will check out the pattern.
I invite you to be apart of my RUclips support group. Please email me at eliascouture@gmail.com and I’ll give you a free one time access. This will keep you motivated.
Um medium olive skin tone and i was thought that im dark autamn because my dark brown eyes and olive skin but mustard yellow and muted green and even the tomato red brown dont look good on and i was wondering why so now i know that i have to avoid green yellow orange and go for more bluer based colors like cool red deep purples navy are better than warm colora for me ❤
This is so fantastic 😮
I think it’s okay to break the rules every once in a while, but it’s nice to test what looks best, just to know when to pull off the best one! Also really surprised that olives stay away from greens because technically green can make something redder, like a gray square inside a green square looks redder as opposed to inside a purple square or orange square.
It sounds like you know a lot about color theory thank you
Going to try!
hi! what kind of needle board is that and where to orde rit
You can absolutely have an olive skin tone on lighter, fairer skin (Fitzpatrick Types 1 and 2s). We definitely do exist!
I’m an olive skin tone with a warm undertone. I don’t usually wear blue because I don’t really like it. I do like purple! I will try out some more blues in my wardrobe.
Would love to see part 3
Superb content, even as a novice to the work page, I understood the complexity of how this design was created.
Good to hear thank you

Yes you can put the elastic thread in the Bobinn thank you I'm glad it helped
@@susaneliascouture Thank you!!!!!
Measuring for the crotch from "here to here" is not very helpful. From the side seam to...?
Holy crap. I’ve spent three days watching videos on how to assemble this type of collar- thank you so much for this perfect demonstration! I really appreciate your analysis of the muslin and the detailed construction. Beautiful jacket
Thank you for your video. Makes a lot of sense!
